How to Make Money Online Blogging in Nigeria (2)

How to Make Money Online Blogging

Yes, yes, yes, yes.... it's possible. I guess you must have established that fact and understood that you could make money blogging. But before you continue reading, I'll like you to start with the first post on how to make money blogging, to see more options, perhaps easier on how to make money blogging.
For those who have been following my posts or those who have read through my previous post, you can now go ahead to read this post. In the previous post we talked about making money through three ways, namely: through CPM and CPC Ads, privatizing Ads, Affiliate marketing and Digital products.
This time I'll be writing on how to make money using your blog through the following ways:

Use it as a Content Marketing Tool for Your Business
It is also possible to sell physical products on your blog and to make money that way. Instead of thinking of it as making money from your blog, however, think of your blog as a content marketing tool that will drive visitors to your business website.
The possibilities are practically endless when it comes to developing a business blog. You could sell hand-made products, books, manufactured products, and so much more. Or you might already have a business and decide to convert loyal customers.
start a blog Lets say, for example, that you refurbish and resell used smartphones out of your home. You could use a blog to attract visitors to your website where you list your current phones for sale. Your blog might cover topics about DIY refurbishing. On one level, it seems counterintuitive because you want people to buy your phones, but it also helps you build a brand and gain recognition.
This concept can also be applied to services in all types of industries. For instance, if you offered electronic repair services as opposed to physical products, you could still use the same blogging concept to increase brand awareness and convert more clients.

Sell Memberships
Another option to make money is to sell memberships to exclusive corners of your website. For instance, a career blog might charge $10 per month for users to gain access to their job board. A startup business blog might sell memberships to their forums where people can get personalized advice about their business.
The key here is that your exclusive membership has to be more valuable than something your visitors can find for free somewhere else, so be sure you are developing something of value and worth the price.

If you are looking to make money from your blog, which option will you start with? Let me know in the comment section :)

How to Make Money Online Blogging in Nigeria

How to make money online blogging

You might have heard that there is more to this "blogging" than just writing and posting.
We'll, I guess you're right. Besides posting articles, there are tons of things you can do with your blog. One of them is... making money!!!. Yes, you heard me right, making money. You can turn your blog into a steady source of income in various ways, I'll explain in detail as you read on.

Advertising
This is the most common and quite easy way for most beginners in blogging to start earning from their blog. Under this method you can make money through various ways, but I'll only be talking on two(2) ways;
1. Monetize with CPC or CPM Ads.
One of the most common ways bloggers make money is through placing ads on their site. There are two popular types of ads:
-CPC/PPC Ads: Cost per click (also called pay per click) ads are usually banners that you place in your content or sidebar. Each time a reader clicks on the ad, you are paid for that click.
-CPM Ads: CPM Ads, or “cost per 1,000 impressions,” are ads that pay you a fixed amount of money based on how many people view your ad.
Perhaps the most popular network for placing these types of ads is Google AdSense. With this program, you do not need to be in direct contact with advertisers; you simply place the banner on your site, Google chooses ads relevant to your content, and your viewers click on the ads. There are countless similar programs available if you find that AdSense doesn’t work for you, such as Chitika, Infolinks, and Media.net.
2. Privatize your Ads.
Working with advertising networks isn’t your only option when it comes to selling ads. If you end up with enough traffic, advertisers may come directly to you and ask you to place their ad on your site. You can also contact advertisers yourself. The biggest difference from the above mentioned option is that there is no middle man, which means you can set your own ad rates.
Selling private ads can come in the form of banners, buttons, or links. You can even make money writing sponsored posts where you write about or give a review of an advertiser’s product or service. Another option is to write an underwritten post or series, which is where you can write about any topic, but the advertiser pays for a “Brought to you by” mention in the content.
The ways you make money with this can vary. For instance, you might charge a one-time fee for a link within a post. If you are hosting banner ads, you might charge your partner monthly.

Affiliate Marketing
For those of us who do notknow, Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people’s (or company’s) products. You find a product you like, promote it to others and earn a piece of the profit for each sale that you make.
Affiliate marketing is also another great tool for monetizing your blog. Here is how affiliate marketing works:
An advertiser has a product she wants to sell. She agrees to give you a commission from each sale if the buyer is coming from your site.
She gives you a unique link that tracks your affiliate code. That way, she knows when a buyer used your link to make a purchase.
You include your affiliate link on your site. You can do this directly in the content or through banner ads. If a reader clicks on your unique link and buys the product you have recommended, you earn a percentage of what was purchased.
You can utilize affiliate marketing through ad networks like Amazon Associates, or you can create private partnerships with advertisers and businesses with an affiliate program.

Sell Digital products
If you would rather not advertise other people’s products on your site, or if you are looking for another stream of income, consider selling digital products. This can include items like:
-eBooks
-Online courses/workshops
-Images, video, or music people can use in their own content
-Apps, plugins, or themes
Just remember that if you are going to choose one of these avenues that you make it relevant and useful to your readers. A lot of bloggers make the mistake of assuming they are developing a product their readers need; listen to your readers first, and then create a digital product that will meet their needs.

Hope you've learnt a lot on how to make money onling using your blog?. Tell us more in the comments below, and don't forget to check back next week for more ways to make money on one blogging. Happy blogging!!!

6 Best Abs Workout for Perfect Abs

The six best Abs exercises that can be done at home
The routine is composed of 6 abdominal exercises carefully chosen to hit both the upper and lower abs. Use them to get a ripped core!
This routine is composed of six abdominal exercises carefully chosen to work both the upper and lower abs. Hit it hard three times a week, along with a healthy diet, some lifting, and the right amount of cardio, and you'll see your abs soon enough.

How to Do This Core Routine
This is a fairly advanced ab routine, so how you do it matters. Beginners are better off just performing three exercises out of the seven for just two sets each of as many reps as possible, with a minute of rest in between sets. From there on, build up endurance by adding exercises and sets and cutting back on rest periods. As you build up to that, feel free to break up the routine in different ways.
Here are a list of super workouts to get your Abs ripped up in no time:
1. Sit-Up
2. Leg raise
3. Dip/Leg raise Combo
4. Flutter kick
5. Pullup to knee raise
6. Crunch

How to Perform the Exercises

Sit-up

  • Lie flat on your back on the floor with your knees bent and your legs secured under a piece of heavy furniture or bench.
  • Place your hands by your chest.
  • Flexing your abdominals, raise your torso until you are in nearly a sitting position.
  • Retaining tension on the abs, lower your torso to the beginning position. (Note: Maintain full control throughout the movement. Avoid the temptation to rock back and forth.)

Leg Raise

  • Lie on the floor and hold onto a bench or the legs of a heavy chair for support.
  • Keep your legs straight and raise them up until they’re vertical.
  • Lower back down, but stop just short of the floor to keep tension on your abs before the next rep.

Dip/Leg Raise Combo

  • Suspend yourself over the parallel bars at a dip station.
  • Bend your knees slightly and raise your legs in front of you until they’re parallel to the floor....This will build you a magazine-worthy six-pack.

Flutter Kick

  • Lie on your back with legs straight and arms extend out at your sides.
  • Lift your heels about 6 inches off the floor and rapidly kick your feet up and down in a quick, scissor-like motion.

Pullup to Knee Raise
  • Hang from a pull-up bar with hands outside shoulder width and palms facing away from you.
  • Pull yourself up until your chin is over the bar and then raise your knees to your chest in the top position.

Crunch
  • Lie flat on your back on the floor with your legs in front of you bent at the knees.
  • Place your hands by your chest.
  • At this time, raise your shoulders and torso as far as possible from the ground in a curling movement without raising your back from the floor.
  • Retaining tension on the abs, bring your torso to the starting position. (Note: Maintain full control throughout the movement. Avoid the temptation to rock back and forth.)

There you have it, my 6 therapies for ripped Abs. Try them out and see how it works for you. You can also make it more difficult by reducing your resting time, or doing your reps till failure. And don't forget to tell us how useful this article was to you in the comments section below.

How to Find Your Freelancing Niche. (2)

HOW TO FIND YOUR FREELANCING NICHE.[PART 2]

Who do you think makes more money: a general dentist or an endodontist? Both have the education and skills to perform root canals, though one is presented as a specialist. According to the American Association of Endodontists, “The average endodontist completes 25 root canal treatments a week, while general dentists do about two root canals a week.”
The same goes for freelancing. Specializing in something makes you a hot commodity. The rarer you are, the more in-demand you’ll be.
While some people find success in being a generalist, most writers, bloggers and freelancers generally, will need to focus and narrow down a topic of expertise. You guessed it: a niche!
Note: “If you’ve already found your niche, leave a comment at the end of this post, and tell us what it is and how you found it”
Likely you’ve heard of finding a niche or “niching down,” but what does that even mean? It means to choose a narrow topic or audience to focus your content. The reason for doing this is to allow you to create the most valuable content for a specific audience. That way, your readers will love what you wrote and feel like you wrote it just for them. That is what builds a loyal readership or client base.
While many people say that your niche must intersect with an industry or a market that is highly profitable, I think that you should find a profitable niche based on your interests, experience and abilities. Based on this I have outlined a few tips (some of which are personal questions), to help you in finding your niche;
what is your expertise or background?
o    Coursework that you've completed
o    Any degrees or certificates you've earned
o    Professional work experience
Ø     What are your passions or interests?
o    Hobbies and activities
o    Ways you spend your free time
o    Things you like to talk about with your friends

Ø       Who do you want to help?
o    Any volunteer experiences you have enjoyed
o    Social causes that are personally meaningful to you
o    Nonprofits that you contribute to or follow.
There may be more subconscious interests that you didn’t even consider!
o    Pinterest board content and topics
o    Types of people, companies, and organizations you follow on Twitter and Instagram
o    Topics of any blogs you follow
Put these lists next to each other. Do you see any themes emerging? Highlight list items that seem relevant to one another (or colour code them) and connect some dots. Your college minor in fine art may seem useless until you pair it with your passion for the local art scene and realize how much content marketing help small art studios and galleries need. Boom, you found your niche!
Haven’t found your niche yet? Here are a few other ways which you can use to find it.
ü    Sculpt Your Niche from Your Passion
What do you read? When you’re running in the morning, ruminating on your commute, or in the shower, what topics is your mind regularly drawn to? These are all clues that can point you toward a future niche. If you’re faced with too many options, the idea of making a decision can feel overwhelming. Grant yourself the freedom to purge, on paper, any possible idea you could ever dream up. Your list may consist of blog topics, statistics, or quotes that interest you, or strategies you’d love to suggest to a business. Everyone’s list will be different, so don’t put any pressure on yourself to perfect the ideation process.
Another tip is to make note of the kinds of writing projects you enjoy. Of all the assignments you’ve written recently, which did you find yourself most engaged with? That right there is a great place to narrow your focus.
Elizabeth Wellington, a freelance writer, editor, and content strategist, has this to say: “I started as a generalist and narrowed my niche by noticing what I loved to write about. As I wrote about different topics, I kept track of the articles I enjoyed the most and which ones gained the most traction with audiences. I looked at that cross-section and noticed that they all spoke to an audience of Millennials about how to create a life and career that they loved. I started specializing in topics underneath that umbrella.”
ü    Understanding Your Business
To find your niche, you have to get serious. You have to upgrade from hobby to business and define it.
You can lay the foundation for the future of your business through these exercises:
  • Defining your success; For some, its 5 cars; for others, 50 employees. By setting business goals, you develop ideas about what you want your business to become and lay a road map for how to get there. Think big, and think long-term.
  • Characterizing your audience; If you don’t know which clients you’re primarily targeting, you can’t tailor your business to that market. Use your expertise and passions to help characterize your audience.
  • Naming your business; It’s not just “I need a name,” it’s defining how you want your audience to perceive your business.
  • Developing your business identity; Business name in hand, you’ve got to brand your business keeping in mind your target audience.
Ps; if you’ve found your niche do well to tell us what niche it is and how you found it in the comment box below.
